I began developing my art practice in 2021. The post-lockdown blues, coupled with years of bad mental health, drew me into making jewellery.
I started out in my bedroom watching hours of YouTube, learning how to solder basic shapes and forms. I then discovered sand casting and fell in love with its unpredictability and rawness, with each casting producing something slightly different. My style and process developed naturally alongside my skill set.
Now I make sculptural freeform jewellery to wear every day, working predominantly with recycled silver and lab-grown stones. My pieces are influenced by bodies of water, particularly their unpredictability, how they move, and how they catch the light.
